Najaf: The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, affirmed that Iraq is facing a historic opportunity to prove its ability to build a strong and dignified state, free from internal conflicts, foreign dependence, chaos, and the politics of quotas and gains.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a speech delivered on the occasion of Iraqi Martyrs' Day from the shrine of Martyr of the Mihrab, Sayyid Mohammed Baqir Al-Hakim, in Najaf, Al-Hakim stated that this opportunity sends a clear message to Iraqis and the world that Iraq is capable of establishing a just, powerful, and service-oriented state, not one plagued by internal strife, external subordination, or disorder.

He noted that political differences and variations in programs are natural and healthy, but stressed that disagreement over Iraq itself is unacceptable. He warned against allowing sedition to exploit Iraqi youth, permitting accusations and disloyalty rhetoric to divide society, or engaging in political squabbles that drain the nation's energy.

Al-Hakim emphasized the necessity of confining weapons exclusively to state authority, in accordance with the constitution and the guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority, to ensure that the rule of law prevails over all. He stressed that the law must be enforced by the will of Iraqis and their national political forces, not through external dictates.

He firmly rejected the presence of weapons outside state control or their use as tools of political pressure. Concluding his remarks, Al-Hakim called for the swift formation of the government, adherence to constitutional timelines, and the selection of an effective, balanced government team fully aware of the challenges facing the country in the coming phase.
