Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Friday the discovery of a weapons cache east of Salah al-Din province. A unit from the 52nd Brigade, operating under the Northern and East Tigris Operations Command, found explosives, rockets, and ammunition in Bair al-Dhahab area east of the town of Amirli.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was conducted based on precise intelligence, with security forces securing the site and technical teams taking necessary measures to handle the weapons. No breaches or damages were reported.

The discovery is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and track down remnants of terrorist groups, preventing the exploitation of areas for attacks that threaten citizen safety.
