Turkish intelligence: Turkish intelligence announced today, Monday, the arrest of a prominent leader of the ISIS terrorist organization in a security operation carried out on the Afghan-Pakistani border. In a statement, Turkish intelligence said that Muhammad Guren, a senior leader in the so-called "Khorasan Province" of ISIS, was arrested in an operation on the Afghan-Pakistani border and extradited to Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement indicated that Guren worked with Abu Yasser al-Turki (zgr Altun), who played an active role in transporting ISIS terrorists from Turkey to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Altun had previously been arrested and extradited to Turkey.

Turkish intelligence stated that it had obtained information indicating that the arrested terrorist had agreed to carry out suicide attacks targeting civilians in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, and Europe.

It also noted that the individual, identified as Mehmet Gren, had crossed the border from Turkey into Afghanistan and Pakistan, risen through the ranks of the ISIS terrorist organization, and survived airstrikes targeting the group in Pakistan.
