Baghdad: Iraq is currently experiencing a phase of security, stability, and recovery, a development attributed to the sacrifices of martyrs and wounded heroes, as emphasized by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Prime Minister al-Sudani conveyed these sentiments during a meeting with tribal sheikhs and dignitaries from the Dujail district in Salah al-Din Governorate. He underscored the significant contributions of the districts of Balad and Dujail, acknowledging their historical and present-day sacrifices. Al-Sudani praised the unity among the diverse Iraqi people in Salah al-Din and highlighted the readiness and capability of Iraq's security forces, stressing that terrorists have no stronghold in the country.

Al-Sudani acknowledged the role of tribes in fostering brotherhood and addressing terrorism-related challenges. He stated that Iraq's current phase of recovery is a result of the collective stance against foreign ideologies and assured that the district of Dujail, due to its sacrifices, merits special attention from the state.

He elaborated on the government's commitment to alleviating citizens' suffering and improving economic and living conditions. Al-Sudani noted that the government has made significant progress in fulfilling its program priorities, yet emphasized the necessity of continued effort to complete development and service projects across the country.

Al-Sudani further discussed the economic challenges, mentioning the budget deficit caused by increased expenditures and stagnant revenues. He emphasized the need for economic reforms and diversification beyond oil dependency. The government is focusing on stimulating other sectors such as industry, agriculture, commerce, and tourism to generate revenue and create jobs.

Reflecting on Iraq's challenging past, Al-Sudani noted the legacy of conflicts that have squandered resources. However, he expressed confidence in the Iraqi people's resilience and the government's vision for a strong economy and social justice. The Prime Minister concluded by highlighting the importance of sustained security and stability, achievable through community support for security forces.
