Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani concluded his visit to the Balad and Dujail districts in Salah al-Din Governorate and returned to the capital, Baghdad. The visit was marked by several significant activities aimed at boosting infrastructure and commemorating historical events.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the prime minister attended the "Balad of Steadfastness" festival, which marked the 11th anniversary of the lifting of the ISIS siege on the city of Balad. As part of his visit, Al-Sudani launched projects targeting the rehabilitation and development of infrastructure, sewage, and roads in the Saba' al-Dujail neighborhood in Balad.

In addition to these infrastructure projects, the prime minister initiated the construction of buildings for the Central Technical University in Balad district. He also monitored the progress of the new Balad water project, which has a capacity of 4,000 cubic meters per hour, and inaugurated the Martyr Fawzi Fakhri al-Baldawi water project in Balad with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters per hour. Further development included the launch of a project to improve the entrances to areas surrounding the shrine of Sayyid Muhammad bin Ali al-Hadi.

During his visit, Al-Sudani launched the paving, sidewalk, and lighting project for a 7-kilometer ring road in Dujail district and reviewed the progress on the 40-bed Dujail Hospital project. He also inspected construction work at the site of a 100-bed hospital project in the district.

Al-Sudani's visit also included performing pilgrimage rites at the shrine of Sayyid Muhammad ibn Ali al-Hadi and meeting with tribal sheikhs and dignitaries from Balad and Dujail districts, fostering community ties and addressing local concerns.
