Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed progress, albeit slow, in the negotiations between Russia and the United States regarding a settlement to the Ukrainian crisis.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a press conference that the negotiations with the United States are progressing slowly but steadily. This comes amidst efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized the necessity of conducting negotiations on a settlement in Ukraine behind closed doors. He noted that Washington is fully aware of Russia's principles and fundamental conditions for a settlement in Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, remarked that attempts by "warmongers" to disrupt the recent Russian-American talks on Ukraine, held in Miami, were unsuccessful. Dmitriev described these discussions as having "went very well."

Additionally, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov expressed Moscow's expectation that the United States and all parties involved in discussions on resolving the Ukrainian crisis will strictly adhere to all agreements reached. He highlighted the importance of the outcomes from the Anchorage, Alaska, meeting between the Russian and American leaders.
