Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament, Haibat al-Halbousi, and Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States, Aaron Nutin, have underscored the importance of enhancing relations and cooperation between Iraq and the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Speaker’s office released a statement indicating that al-Halbousi welcomed Aaron Nutin, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States, on Wednesday. During the meeting, Nutin extended his congratulations to al-Halbousi on his recent election as Speaker of Parliament and expressed his best wishes for success in his role.

The statement further highlighted that both parties confirmed the significance of bolstering ties and collaborative efforts across various sectors between the two nations.
