Slight Increase in Dollar Exchange Rate Observed in Baghdad Markets


Baghdad: A slight increase in the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar was recorded on Wednesday afternoon in Baghdad markets, aligning with the closure of the stock exchange on New Year’s Eve. The dollar was noted to be trading at 144,700 dinars per 100 dollars in the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges, compared to 144,250 dinars per 100 dollars earlier in the day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, local exchange offices in Baghdad reported a selling price of 145,250 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price was set at 144,250 dinars per 100 dollars. The trend was mirrored in Erbil, where the dollar rose, leading to a selling price of 143,550 dinars per 100 dollars and a buying price of 143,450 dinars per 100 dollars.
