Caracas: Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello announced on Thursday that at least 100 people were killed in the US military operation launched against his country early Saturday morning, which resulted in the arrest of President Nicol¡s Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, this is the first official statement from the Venezuelan government regarding the casualties during the recent events. The US administration had estimated that approximately 75 people were killed during the military operation, including dozens killed in armed clashes at the presidential complex in the capital, Caracas.
