Baghdad: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Wednesday the arrest of two terrorists in Baghdad and Salah al-Din as part of specialized intelligence operations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were carried out based on accurate intelligence information and under the direct supervision of the Director of Military Intelligence. Intelligence and security units of the 6th and 21st Infantry Divisions apprehended the suspects north of Baghdad and in Salah al-Din province.

The statement added that arrest warrants had been issued against the suspects under Article (1/4) of the Anti-Terrorism Law, and they were handed over to the competent authorities to complete legal procedures, reaffirming continued efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and ensure national security.
