The President of Iraq Welcomes New Ambassadors from Vatican, Azerbaijan, and Palestine


Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at Baghdad Palace the credentials of Monsignor Miroslaw Stanislaw Wachowski, Ambassador of the Vatican, Eldar Nadir Oglu Suleymanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Samar Abdul Rahman Awadallah, Ambassador of the State of Palestine.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the credentials ceremony involved separate meetings where President Rashid welcomed the newly appointed ambassadors. He expressed his wishes for their success in their diplomatic roles, emphasizing the importance of enhancing friendships and cooperation between Iraq and their countries in various fields to serve mutual interests.



The President reiterated Iraq’s dedication to a balanced foreign policy that respects state sovereignty and avoids interference in internal affairs. This approach aims to support regional and international security and stability.



In response, the ambassadors conveyed their gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Iraq. They expressed a desire to expand cooperation and coordination on shared issues, and wished for ongoing progress and prosperity for Iraq and its people.
