Al-Araji Urges Global Repatriation of Citizens from Terrorist Prisons


Baghdad: Iraq’s National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, on Sunday called on the international community to repatriate its nationals from prisons holding members of terrorist groups, stressing that such a move would contribute to regional and international stability.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement issued by the Media Office of the National Security Adviser revealed that Al-Araji received the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Iraq, Arturo An­bal Gallegos. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and developing bilateral relations between the two countries in a manner that serves their mutual interests.



Al-Araji emphasized Iraq’s commitment to dialogue and diplomacy as key methods for resolving all issues. He highlighted Iraq’s dedication to restoring calm and consolidating peace by collaborating with brotherly and friendly countries to promote dialogue and reduce tensions.



The Venezuelan ambassador, Arturo An­bal Gallegos, expressed Venezuela’s eagerness to strengthen bilateral relations and expand joint cooperation with Iraq, aiming to protect the interests of both nations and their citizens.
