Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command announced on Saturday the arrest of three suspects in connection with a tribal clash in the Rusafa district, following reports of a shooting incident in Al-Kamaliya area, east of the capital.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Operations Command stated that the incident occurred as part of ongoing efforts to pursue outlaws and perpetrators of tribal conflicts. A task force was formed from the 1st Federal Police Division, in cooperation with detachments from Al-Khansaa Police Station and the Al-Amin Rescue Unit, and with the support of intelligence agencies, to proceed to the identified location and secure it.
The statement added that the investigation included reviewing surveillance camera footage and gathering preliminary information, which led to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators, three individuals accused of carrying out the tribal attack.
The command also noted that the accused were handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.
