Faihan Stresses Expedited Legislative Processes in Meeting with “Good News for Iraq” Bloc


Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, received a delegation from the “Good News for Iraq” parliamentary bloc today at his residence: The meeting focused on reorganizing parliamentary committees and enhancing legislative and oversight performance.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Faihan’s office outlined that the discussions included mechanisms for reorganizing the work of parliamentary committees. This reorganization aims to align with new internal regulations while considering principles of specialization and competence to improve oversight and legislative performance.



The discussions also highlighted the need to accelerate the discussion of priority draft laws, especially those related to economic and service sectors, and to prepare them for voting within established timeframes. Both parties stressed the importance of institutional coordination with executive bodies to review existing laws and adapt them to current changes.



Faihan reiterated the House of Representatives’ role in providing legislative solutions to revive the economy, increase revenues, and support stability.
