Baquba: Security forces arrested a suspect for trafficking in antiquities in Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate. Director of Public Relations and Media for the Diyala Police, Brigadier General Haitham al-Shammari, shared details about the operation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Shammari stated that the suspect was apprehended in a well-planned ambush. The individual was in possession of two antiquities that he intended to sell. This arrest followed careful monitoring of the suspect’s movements by the authorities.
Al-Shammari further explained that the necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect. Both the individual and the seized items have been referred to the relevant authorities to complete the investigations, adhering to the legal framework.
