Maysan: The Maysan Police Command announced today the arrest of three suspects in different areas of the province, including two wanted on drug charges and one wanted under Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated: “Detachments from Hattin Police Station, in cooperation with security and intelligence agencies, conducted security operations based on precise information and valid arrest warrants, resulting in the arrest of the suspects over the past two days.”

The statement added that among those arrested was a suspect wanted for drug trafficking and use, another wanted under Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law, and a third wanted under Article 413 of the Penal Code, which pertains to the crime of intentional assault.

The Command confirmed that the necessary legal procedures have been taken against the suspects and that they have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the investigations and receive their due punishment acc
ording to the law. The Command emphasized the continuation of its security campaigns to pursue wanted individuals and enhance stability throughout the province.
