Iraq’s Oil Revenues Surpass $6 Billion in January


Baghdad: Iraq’s oil revenues exceeded $6 billion during January. The Ministry of Oil revealed the total oil exports and revenues for the month, based on the final statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO).



According to National Iraqi News Agency, SOMO stated in its statistics that crude oil exports reached 107,616,220 barrels, generating revenues of $6,485,294,000. The statistics further highlighted that the total volume of crude oil exported from oil fields in central and southern Iraq during January amounted to 101,160,349 barrels. In contrast, exports from the Kurdistan Region via the Ceyhan port totaled 6,445 barrels.



The statistics also indicated that no oil was exported to Jordan during this period.
