Baghdad: The Coordination Framework is set to hold a crucial meeting next week to finalize the nomination for Prime Minister, setting the stage for the appointment to form the new government.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, MP Bahaa al-Araji, head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition bloc, revealed that the Coordination Framework will proceed with a single candidate for the Prime Minister position. This candidate will be the official nominee of the largest parliamentary bloc.

Al-Araji noted that the decision to nominate an alternative to al-Maliki rests with the Coordination Framework, which holds the authority to make such determinations. He emphasized the importance of firmly rejecting any American threats or pressure concerning the nomination process for the Coordination Framework’s candidate for Prime Minister.
