Prime Minister and President Highlight Unified Stance for National Security


Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani and President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid emphasized the importance of unifying national forces’ positions to preserve the country’s security and stability amidst ongoing regional tensions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office detailed that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani received President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid. During their meeting, they reviewed the general situation in the country alongside international and regional developments, underscoring the need to fulfill constitutional requirements in a manner that aligns with the aspirations of the Iraqi people.



The statement further highlighted discussions on enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Presidency and the Council of Ministers, aiming to consolidate stability and support reform initiatives.



The meeting also touched upon regional developments and their implications for Iraq. Both leaders emphasized that the challenges facing the country necessitate a unified stance from national forces to ensure security and stability. They expressed the need to support the government’s measures in strengthening Iraq’s pivotal role in promoting international peace and security.
