Hammoudi Discusses Political Developments and Constitutional Entitlements with Halbousi and Al-Asadi


Washington: The head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, Sheikh Hammam Hammoudi, discussed the latest political developments and constitutional entitlements with the leader of Taqaddum Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, and Minister of Labor Ahmed al-Asadi.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, he and an accompanying delegation met with Halbousi, where they exchanged Ramadan greetings and reviewed the latest developments on the Iraqi political scene, as well as regional updates and the course of national dialogues aimed at completing constitutional entitlements.



The two sides stressed the need to expedite the formation of the remaining presidencies and to complete the state’s institutional framework, describing it as an urgent priority to meet the demands of the current phase, fulfill public aspirations, and address ongoing challenges.



Hammoudi also met with Minister of Labor, Acting Minister of Education Ahmed al-Asadi. The meeting included an exchange of Ramadan greetings and discussions on political developments and ongoing dialogues to finalize the formation of the remaining presidencies, highlighting the importance of ensuring the smooth functioning of state institutions and strengthening political stability.



Both sides underscored the unity of the Coordination Framework and its responsible approach to national issues, emphasizing the importance of accelerating the election of the President of the Republic in order to pave the way for the formation of a government capable of advancing development and service delivery and meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
