Al-Sudani and Al-Sisi Discuss Regional Security Escalation


Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed the current security situation and the dangerous escalation threatening the entire region in a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of Prime Minister Al-Sudani stated that during the call, both leaders emphasized the necessity of an immediate cessation of military operations. They advocated for dialogue as the sole option for addressing outstanding issues to ensure that the region and the world are spared the dangers resulting from the continuation of the war.



Both leaders stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab coordination and unifying efforts to confront current challenges. They highlighted the need to guarantee the protection of Arab interests and preserve security and stability at both regional and international levels.



The statement further indicated that both sides urged the international community, UN institutions, and major powers to assume their responsibilities. They called for diligent work to reduce the dangerous escalation, thereby contributing to the preservation of regional and international peace and security.
