Amman: The Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission announced today, Tuesday, the reopening of airspace to air traffic and the lifting of the partial closure. Commission Chairman Daifallah Al-Farajat stated that Jordanian airspace has been reopened to all civil aviation traffic, including arrivals, departures, and transit. The partial closure, which had been in effect since Monday evening, has been lifted following a thorough review and comprehensive assessment of the operational and security situation in light of current regional developments.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision to reopen the airspace was made after an in-depth risk assessment in coordination with all relevant authorities. This decision aligns fully with the highest international standards adopted in the field of civil aviation safety and security. Al-Farajat emphasized that the Authority prioritizes the safety of passengers and aircrews, along with the protection of the Kingdom’s airspace.

He further explained that the Authority’s technical staff will continue to closely monitor regional developments around the clock to take any precautionary measures necessary to ensure the safe and regular continuity of air operations. In the same context, the Authority urged passengers to maintain continuous communication with their airlines to stay informed of operational updates and any changes that may occur to flight schedules as a result of this resumption.

The Authority reiterated its commitment to providing a safe and stable aviation environment, aiming to enhance Jordan’s position as a vital air navigation hub in the region.
