Baghdad: The Cultural Attach© and Deputy Director of the French Institute in Iraq, Samuel Mime, affirmed on Thursday France's support for artists, theater, and various art forms in Iraq, noting that the Institute serves as a cultural bridge between the two countries.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Mime highlighted the long-standing cooperation between France and Iraq, which dates back hundreds of years, even during times of conflict in Baghdad and beyond. He emphasized that France has consistently supported artists, theater, and all forms of art across Iraq.

Mime noted that the French Institute in Iraq, established in 1953, is part of a global network of international institutions. In Iraq, it offers French language courses and hosts cultural activities, including concerts and other events. He invited the Iraqi public to participate in these cultural offerings.

Furthermore, Mime pointed out that the institute facilitates opportunities for Iraqis to study in France, reinforcing the strong cultural ties between the two nations. He expressed that the mutual appreciation and affection between Iraqis and French people bolster this cultural relationship.
