Baghdad: Basra police arrested a suspect in possession of narcotics.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Governorate Police Command stated in a press release that officers from the Al-Hussein neighborhood emergency response unit, while carrying out their security duties, arrested the suspect and seized narcotics in his possession.

The statement explained, "This operation is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security in the district. The narcotics were confiscated, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the suspect in accordance with the law."
