Baghdad: The Ansar Allah (Houthi) group announced on Thursday that it had targeted Saudi troop concentrations in Al-Ruwaik, Al-Abr, Al-Thaniyah, and other camps in eastern Yemen.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree revealed that the group had identified significant Saudi military buildups, which were in their final stages and aimed at escalating the conflict against Yemen. These buildups were also seen as an attempt to deter the group's stance on ending the blockade. In response, the Houthis executed a large-scale military operation targeting Saudi military concentrations in the Al-Ruwaik, Al-Abr, and Al-Thaniyah areas, as well as camps under the First and Third Emergency Divisions. The operation utilized a substantial number of ballistic missiles and drones.

Saree reported that the offensive resulted in hundreds of casualties and injuries, along with the destruction and burning of numerous camps, troop concentrations, and weapons depots in the Al-Wadi'ah area in eastern Yemen. Additionally, a significant number of military vehicles were destroyed in the targeted camps.

The spokesman warned Saudi Arabia against any further escalation, stating that it would "bear the consequences of any such step." He urged individuals he described as "the misled and deceived" to abandon the camps and return to their areas, stressing the group's readiness to confront any escalation.

Saree also called on Yemenis to maintain a state of alert and resistance, affirming that the group would continue to respond to the siege with a siege until the blockade on Yemen is lifted.
