The karkh criminal court: The Karkh Criminal Court sentenced a drug trafficker belonging to an international gang specializing in trafficking narcotics in European countries to life imprisonment.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council stated that the Karkh Criminal Court handed down a life sentence against a convicted drug trafficker who was a member of the "Foxtrot" gang, which specializes in the possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs in a European country.

The statement further noted that the gang used the Scannel application to offer and promote drugs, as well as to convert funds into cryptocurrency.

The statement added, "The sentence against the convicted was issued against him in accordance with Article 28/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017".
