Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi affirmed on Sunday the government's commitment to implementing its program and continuing its anti-corruption measures.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's Media Office released a statement highlighting that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with the head of the Al-Hikma National Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim. During the meeting, they discussed political, security, and economic developments, alongside national issues, with a primary focus on combating corruption.

The statement emphasized the Prime Minister's dedication to executing the government's agenda, which includes ongoing anti-corruption measures, reinforcing the rule of law, and safeguarding public funds. Al-Zaidi also reiterated the importance of supporting administrative and economic reforms to achieve these goals.

In response, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim commended the government's anti-corruption efforts, highlighting the need for these measures to continue within legal and institutional frameworks. He stressed that such actions are crucial for enhancing citizens' trust in state institutions.

Al-Hakim further applauded the government's strategy of forming genuine and balanced regional and international partnerships. He noted that these alliances are essential for boosting Iraq's standing on the global stage, as well as supporting opportunities for development and stability.
