Baghdad: The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war state. Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei stated in a press release that "the American threats are nothing new," adding that "Tehran acts in accordance with its own interests and is not swayed by threats."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Baghaei further mentioned that "the other side knows that our response will be strong to any adventure it undertakes against us," explaining that "our negotiations with Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz are not new, and we are committed to cooperating to reach a mechanism for the passage of ships."

He emphasized that "the situation in the Strait of Hormuz cannot return to what it was before the war," noting that "our negotiations with Oman are bilateral and not linked to any other party."
