Kirkuk Police Swiftly Apprehend Murder Suspect Within One Hour

Kirkuk: Kirkuk police detachments managed to solve a murder case and arrest the perpetrator in record time, less than an hour after the incident. Major General Fatah al-Khafaji, the police chief, stated: "Upon receiving the report of a murder within our jurisdiction, the detachments of the 'Ninety' police station, part of the town's police department (the smaller side), mobilized all their technical and field resources to investigate the perpetrator."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, after gathering initial information and examining the evidence, the investigation revealed that the crime was committed following a dispute between the two parties on social media platforms, which escalated into a conflict that ended with the incident. The team was able to locate the suspect, pursue him, and apprehend him before he could escape, all within one hour of the crime.

The suspect confessed to his crime, and the necessary legal procedures were taken against him, in accordance with Article 406 of the Iraqi Penal Code. He was then presented before the investigating judge to receive his just punishment according to the provisions of Iraqi law.
