Karbala: The reverse movement of pilgrims in the holy city of Karbala has commenced with the participation of 7,000 vehicles, facilitating the return journey of numerous visitors.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Provincial Council member Hussein al-Fatlawi revealed that the pick-up areas at the Babylon-Karbala and Najaf-Karbala axes are witnessing a significant return movement. Despite the continuous influx of pilgrims to the province, 7,000 government and private vehicles are actively participating in the process.
Al-Fatlawi highlighted that the movement is occurring smoothly without disruptions or crowding, specifically mentioning the efficiency at Sayyid Jawda and Qantara al-Salam squares. He further explained that a specific route has been designated for vehicle traffic, with pedestrians prohibited from using it to prevent any potential conflicts between vehicles and pilgrims.
