The karkh criminal court: A drug dealer affiliated with an international gang has been sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in trafficking narcotics across European countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Judicial Council released a statement detailing the case. The convicted individual was identified as a member of the 'Foxtrot' gang, which specializes in the possession and trafficking of narcotics in a European country. The individual utilized the Scannel application to offer and promote narcotics and engaged in converting funds into cryptocurrency.

The court issued the life sentence under Article 28/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017. The case highlights ongoing efforts to combat international drug trafficking networks and the use of technology in facilitating illegal activities.
