Baghdad: The Ministry of Agriculture continues its veterinary awareness campaigns for livestock breeders during the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The Ministry of Agriculture, through its Veterinary Department, is actively implementing voluntary veterinary health awareness campaigns across several governorates in conjunction with the Arba'een pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). These initiatives aim to enhance health awareness, prevent the dissemination of infectious and epidemic diseases, and safeguard livestock.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director General of the Veterinary Department, Dr. Muhammad Aziz Al-Mayahi, emphasized that the campaign is focused on educating livestock breeders about disease hazards, with a particular emphasis on Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever. The campaign involves providing preventative guidance and direct engagement with both breeders and pilgrims. Informational brochures containing essential veterinary health instructions are also being distributed.

These campaigns are integral to the Ministry's broader program aimed at bolstering preventative measures and curbing the spread of epidemic diseases. This effort plays a crucial role in protecting livestock and preserving public health, especially during large-scale pilgrimage events.
