Baghdad: The Iraqi Ministry of Planning has unveiled a significant volunteer campaign aimed at supporting the pilgrims and processions involved in the Arba'een pilgrimage. This campaign underscores the ministry's dedication to cultivating a culture of volunteerism while emphasizing social solidarity and mutual support among the community.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ahmed Khalil Ibrahim, Director General of the Administrative and Financial Department at the ministry, highlighted that the campaign involves distributing substantial quantities of drinking water and juices. These supplies are intended for pilgrims and processions along the routes leading to the holy city of Karbala, as well as within the holy city of Kadhimiya. This initiative showcases the Ministry of Planning and its staff's active contribution to the success of this significant religious event, reflecting the ministry's social responsibility alongside its core role in developing Iraq's policies.

Ibrahim further noted that the ministry's volunteer work committee will maintain its field services throughout the pilgrimage period. This effort is structured around a comprehensive work schedule designed to ensure that services reach the maximum number of locations, effectively meeting the needs of pilgrims and Husseini processions.
