Counter-Terrorism Service Uncovers Weapons Cache in Nineveh Security Operation

Baghdad: Counter-Terrorism Service forces discovered missiles, mines, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during a security operation in Nineveh.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service stated that its units, acting on precise intelligence, conducted a large-scale security search operation in Nineveh Governorate - Hamdaniya District - Bartella sub-district, to seize an ammunition cache. This operation is part of proactive efforts to pursue remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs and enhance security and stability in the governorate.

The operation resulted in the discovery of damaged materials, including various types of missiles, mines, bombs, and IEDs, which were safely disposed of and destroyed.

These measures are part of the Service's ongoing security plans to maintain stability and raise the level of readiness in various sectors.
