Baghdad: On behalf of the Minister of Oil, the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs participated in the OPEC meeting via video conference. The Deputy Minister of Oil for Extraction Affairs joined the virtual meeting to represent the interests of Iraq in the assembly of the OPEC+ alliance.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Oil indicated in a press release that Nasir Aziz, the Deputy Minister of Oil for Extraction Affairs, took part in the meeting on Sunday. This gathering, which included seven member countries of the OPEC+ alliance, focused on reviewing global market conditions.
In addition to Nasir Aziz, the meeting was attended by Ali Nizar, the Director General of the State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), and Mohammed Adnan, Iraq's Permanent Representative to OPEC. Their presence underlined Iraq's commitment to engaging in discussions pertinent to global oil market dynamics.
