Turkey’s Ruling Party Accuses Netanyahu of Aiming for Gaza’s Destruction

Ankara: Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party asserts that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's sole objective is the complete destruction of Gaza. The spokesperson for Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), €“mer €¡elik, claimed that Netanyahu's actions are detrimental to global peace efforts.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a post on the Turkish platform "In Social," €¡elik emphasized that Netanyahu's aggressive policies are undermining international peace initiatives. €¡elik accused Netanyahu's network of committing crimes, including the recent killing of over 30 civilians in Gaza and targeting medical facilities. These assaults, he mentioned, occurred right after an agreement on a peace roadmap was reached.

€¡elik highlighted that these attacks are a clear indication that Netanyahu's network perceives any progress towards peace as a threat. Despite a ceasefire agreement effective since October 10, 2015, Israel is accused of continuing a genocidal campaign through daily bombardments, resulting in the deaths of 1,250 Palestinians and injuries to 4,110 others, predominantly affecting children and women.

Last Friday, the "Peace Council," led by US President Donald Trump, announced that Hamas had agreed to a plan detailing a roadmap for the next phase of the ceasefire agreement. This plan includes an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the disarmament of Hamas. However, Hamas insists that Israel must cease its attacks and killings of Palestinians as a prerequisite for moving forward with the next phase of the agreement.

Following the announcement of the peace understandings on Friday, the Israeli army has reportedly escalated its actions, resulting in the deaths of at least 28 Palestinians, including children, and injuring many others, actions perceived as attempts to disrupt the peace process.
