Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi emphasized the importance of opening new horizons for partnership with the United States, contributing to supporting Iraq’s stability, enhancing its capabilities, and achieving peace in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office stated in a press release: “President Amidi received the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, Joshua Harris, in Baghdad on Tuesday. During the meeting, they discussed regional and international developments, as well as relations between Iraq and the United States.”

The statement highlighted that the President stressed the importance of expanding cooperation and opening new avenues for partnership, which would contribute to supporting Iraq’s stability, enhancing its capabilities, achieving peace in the region, reducing tensions, and adopting dialogue to resolve conflicts.

For his part, the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy affirmed his country’s commitment to continuing to develop relations with Iraq and to cooperate in various fields, serving the common interests of both countries.
