Ankara: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas begins an official visit to Turkey this evening, Tuesday, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Burhanettin Duran, head of the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Directorate, announced the visit on the Turkish platform “InSocial.” Abbas’s visit to Turkey is scheduled to continue until next Thursday.

The two presidents are expected to hold talks tomorrow, Wednesday, as part of the visit. The discussions will focus on the latest developments in Palestine, bilateral relations, and regional developments, as outlined by Duran in his announcement.
