Baghdad: Acting Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Sarwa Abdul Wahid, met with MP Waad al-Qaddo from the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee to discuss strategies for supporting Iraq’s cultural, tourism, and heritage sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry issued a press release stating that the meeting occurred on Tuesday, focusing on the current state and improvement of cultural, tourism, and heritage institutions in Nineveh and other governorates. The discussion aimed at enhancing the status of these sectors by leveraging their rich cultural heritage.

Both parties highlighted the necessity of strengthening collaboration between the legislative and executive branches. This cooperation is deemed essential to implement practical measures that will advance the cultural, tourism, and heritage sectors, especially in cities and regions with significant cultural and civilizational assets.
