Baghdad: The criminal court has handed down a death sentence to three individuals after they were found in possession of 140 kilograms of narcotics. This decision underscores the stringent measures being taken against drug-related crimes in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Central Criminal Court issued the death sentence under the provisions of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law of the Penal Code. The Judicial Council’s press release detailed that the convicts were apprehended with 140 kilograms of methamphetamine and caffeine.
