Iraq Extends Condolences to Indonesia Following Devastating Earthquake


Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Iraq’s condolences to the government and people of Indonesia on Saturday for the victims of the recent earthquake that struck several regions of the country.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its solidarity with the friendly Republic of Indonesia following the earthquake that struck several regions of the country, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries, as well as significant material damage.”



The statement added, “The Ministry extends its sincere condolences and sympathies to the government and people of the Republic of Indonesia, and to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, and the relevant authorities success in their efforts to mitigate the effects of the disaster and overcome its repercussions.”
