Baghdad: Finance Minister Faleh Sari met with Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Akira Ando, to discuss bilateral relations and explore ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on elevating the level of Iraqi-Japanese relations and expanding cooperation areas to align with Iraq’s financial and economic reform priorities. The Finance Minister emphasized the need to leverage Japanese expertise and experience to support Iraq’s development process, as well as to enhance investment and partnership opportunities.

The Japanese Ambassador, Akira Ando, expressed his country’s eagerness to strengthen cooperation and create broader avenues for joint efforts, thereby supporting Iraq’s initiatives towards achieving sustainable development.
