Israel Conducts Airstrikes on Abu al-Duhur Military Airport in Idlib

Idlib: Syrian sources report that Israel targeted the Abu al-Duhur military airport in Idlib, northern Syria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, local sources in Syria reported that Israeli warplanes launched four airstrikes early Tuesday morning on the abandoned Abu al-Duhur military airport, located in the Idlib countryside in northern Syria. The sources explained in a press statement that the strikes were carried out around 3:00 AM local time in Syria and that the Israeli warplanes targeted the Abu al-Duhur military airport four times.

No information has yet been received regarding casualties from the strikes, and the Syrian authorities have not issued any statement regarding the attack. Before the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, Israel carried out attacks on Syria targeting sites belonging to pro-Iranian forces. Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8, 2014, Israel expanded the scope of its attacks to include weapons and missile depots and strategic military sites throughout Syria.
