Baghdad: The Ministry of Labor is conducting a workshop aimed at enhancing the legal protection of women. The workshop, organized by the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, focuses on discussing the role of legal legislation in safeguarding women’s rights and elevating their status within society. Employees from various departments and agencies within the ministry are in attendance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop is being led by the department director, Hayam Rashid Khudair. Khudair stressed the importance of legally empowering women as a critical component of building a balanced society. She highlighted that the workshop’s objectives include raising awareness about existing legislation and addressing challenges that women face, ensuring their rights within a secure and encouraging work environment.

The workshop features discussions on significant national laws related to women’s rights and methods for implementing these laws. Additionally, it covers strategies to enhance legal and institutional awareness, thereby ensuring a supportive environment for working women.
