Car Accident Claims Lives and Causes Injuries in Babylon


Babylon: Seven people were involved in a tragic car accident in a river in Babylon, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to five others. The incident occurred north of Hillah, the capital of the Babylon Governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Zaher Mohammed, Director of Media for Babylon Traffic, provided details of the accident. He stated that a car carrying seven people overturned in a tributary on the highway connecting Babylon and Baghdad, near the Al-Nil district. The driver and one passenger lost their lives, while the remaining five passengers sustained injuries.



The authorities responded swiftly, with the police transporting the deceased to the forensic medicine department. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident has been initiated to determine the cause and prevent similar incidents in the future.
