‘To Tell the Truth’ Says Earl About His Sister Princess Diana in New Book

London: Earl Spencer is set to publish a new book detailing the life story of his sister, Diana, Princess of Wales, from his own perspective. Titled “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” the book is scheduled for release in the UK next month, nearly 30 years after Diana’s tragic death.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Earl Spencer expressed his intention to speak on Diana’s behalf in a positive manner. He hopes the book will allow people to truly understand Diana’s unique personality, describing her as a dynamic figure full of love, charisma, and self-doubt. Spencer emphasized that despite leaving the world prematurely, Diana made a significant impact.

Princess Diana passed away at the age of 36 in a car crash in Paris in 1997. She would have celebrated her 65th birthday on July 1 this year. At the time of her death, her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, were 15 and 12 years old, respectively.

In a statement released to coincide with the announcement of the book, Earl Spencer mentioned receiving numerous requests for interviews about Diana as the 30th anniversary of her death draws near. This prompted him to document his own thoughts and memories, countering the often untruthful opinions that have circulated over time.

Earl Spencer aims to present an authentic account of Diana’s life from his perspective, similar to the eulogy he delivered at her funeral in Westminster Abbey in September 1997. He hopes the book will resonate with those who continue to cherish Diana’s memory.
