Baghdad: President Nizar Amedi and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and cooperation among political forces.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency’s media office stated that President Nizar Amedi received PUK President Bafel Talabani in Baghdad. The meeting focused on the overall domestic situation and relations between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region. Both leaders emphasized the need for greater coordination and cooperation among political forces to support national partnership and advance the country’s higher interests.

The discussions also covered the latest regional and international developments, the challenges facing Iraq, and strategies to address these issues in line with Iraqi foreign policy principles, ensuring the protection of national interests.
