Tehran: Iran has denied accusations that it launched a missile toward the United Arab Emirates. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei stated, “We categorically reject the UAE’s claim that Iran launched a missile toward that country.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Ministry considered this behavior to be “contrary to the principle of good neighborliness and an impediment to ongoing efforts to strengthen trust among the countries of the region and prevent the escalation of insecurity.”
Earlier on Tuesday, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defenses had detected two ballistic missiles coming from Iran. The Ministry noted that one missile fell within territorial waters, while the other fell outside them. The UAE Ministry of Defense said in a statement that “UAE air defenses detected two ballistic missiles coming from Iran toward the country, with the first falling outside the country’s territorial waters, while the second fell within territorial waters.”
