Baghdad: The Ministry of Oil has announced that Iraq is currently exporting up to 2.1 million barrels of oil per day through its ports located in the southern part of the country on the Arabian Gulf coast. This development underscores Iraq’s commitment to maintaining a steady flow of oil exports despite various challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Oil Ministry spokesman Salim al-Rikabi revealed in a press release that the country is consistently exporting between 2 and 2.1 million barrels daily through its southern ports. In addition to these exports, al-Rikabi noted that an extra 150,000 barrels of crude oil are being exported daily to the global market via the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean Sea.

He further elaborated that exports through Ceyhan are experiencing growth, with the ministry actively working to enhance the pipeline capacity leading to the Turkish port to 750,000 barrels per day. Al-Rikabi also stated that the Iraqi government is in the process of establishing new pipelines to further expand Iraq’s export capacity.
