Muntaseroun Bloc Secures Initial Approval to Replace Foreign Workers with Iraqis at Basra Refinery

Basra: Head of the Muntaseroun parliamentary bloc, MP Faleh Al-Khazali, announced on Sunday that initial approval had been obtained to replace foreign workers with Iraqi workers at the Basra Refinery. Al-Khazali emphasized the significance of this decision, which focuses on employing Iraqi nationals, particularly engineers from Basra, in key positions at the refinery’s FCC project.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khazali stated that the proposal aims to create job opportunities for local professionals and reduce reliance on foreign labor. The move is expected to enhance the economic stability of the region by providing more employment opportunities to Iraqi citizens, especially those hailing from Basra. The approval is seen as a step towards promoting local talent and addressing unemployment issues in the region.
